Karl Schranz is the founder of MAIA BRAIN, a neurosymbolic AI system designed to create solutions for businesses and organizations. With a robust background in finance and artificial intelligence, he has leveraged his expertise to develop a system that interprets and utilizes existing organizational data in a coherent manner. Karl's journey into AI began from the evidence side of business, where he emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in decision-making.
He began his career in audit in 1998 and pursued professional qualifications with ACCA. Karl holds a Master of Arts in Financial Services from the University of Malta and a Master in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management from Università Bocconi. His multidisciplinary approach combines finance, risk management, and AI, allowing him to address complex organizational challenges effectively. Under his leadership, MAIA BRAIN has established offices in Malta, Rome, London, and Abu Dhabi, showcasing its commitment to innovation and excellence in AI solutions.
