The organization is dedicated to providing real conversations, direct support, and mentorship to those building the next generation of startups. By facilitating events, project feedback, and a robust network of connections, Malta Startup Space aims to reboot the local startup scene and help founders develop unicorns.
Community Initiatives
The Malta Startup Space operates on a model that emphasizes active participation and reciprocity among its members. The organization encourages individuals to claim a free profile, join community channels like WhatsApp, and participate in regular events such as coffee meetups and build days. Members are encouraged to ask for support in areas such as introductions, talent acquisition, legal advice, and fundraising. In return, they are expected to assist others, reinforcing a culture of mutual aid that underpins the entire network.
Leadership and Structure
Malta Startup Space is led by a dedicated team of founders and operators who volunteer their time to support and grow the community. Simon Theuma, the Community Lead and Startup Consultant, has been instrumental in steering the group since 2025. His background in software development and extensive experience in startups position him as a pivotal figure in the community. Nikky Farrugia, with her expertise in office management, and Delphine Ranson, a seasoned project manager with over 20 years in CRM consulting, further strengthen the leadership team, ensuring the efficient operation and strategic direction of the organization.
